Strong fried chicken brands rely on memorable visual identities, from warm color palettes to playful typography that conveys comfort and tradition. These design choices often reflect the care and craftsmanship that go into preparing the food itself. The same attention to detail can be applied in your own kitchen: choosing quality ingredients, preparing the seasoning carefully, and presenting the finished dish with pride all contribute to an experience that feels special.

1 whole chicken, cut into 8 pieces
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Vegetable oil for frying

Place the chicken pieces in a large bowl and cover with buttermilk. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
In a shallow dish, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or Dutch oven to 350°F (175°C).
Remove each chicken piece from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then coat thoroughly in the flour mixture.
Carefully place the coated chicken into the hot oil, working in batches to avoid crowding.
Fry for about 12 to 15 minutes per batch, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Transfer to a wire rack or paper towels to drain excess oil before serving.

A Growing Fried Chicken Brand Tradition

The expansion of fried chicken brands into new cities and neighborhoods shows just how universal the love for crispy, well-seasoned chicken has become. Each new location brings its own twist on tradition, blending classic recipes with local preferences. At home, you can experiment with the same spirit by adjusting spices, trying different coatings, or pairing your chicken with sides that reflect your own family's favorites.
