Remulla hopes Sara Duterte will attend preliminary probe on sedition complaint

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla expressed hope that Vice President Sara Duterte will attend the preliminary investigation on Friday on the inciting to sedition and grave threats complaint filed against her by the National Bureau of Investigation.

The complaint stemmed from the statements made by the Vice President against President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., First Lady Liza Marcos and House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez.

“I hope she attends, kasi karapatan niya, it’s her right eh, dapat lang talaga iyong right niya ay gamitin niya,” Remulla said.

Remulla however noted that as a respondent, the Vice President may not attend the first hearing.

“Pwedeng hindi siya umattend, p’wede naman,” Remulla said.
